As California voters prepare for the November 2026 election, the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce is highlighting five statewide ballot measures addressing taxation, government accountability, health care, and economic development. The following measures and Chamber recommendations are summarized below to help members understand the issues.
- Proposition 40: One-Time Tax on Wealth Over $1 Billion – The Chamber Board Recommends: OPPOSE
- Proposition 41: Special Tax Accountability – The Chamber Board Recommends: SUPPORT
- Proposition 42: Protection of Retirement Holdings, Personal Assets and Savings – The Chamber Board Recommends: SUPPORT

If you have employees out on California Paid Family Leave on or after June 30, 2026, your business may now qualify for new grant funding. California’s Paid Family Leave Grant (CPFLG) offers up to $2,000 per employee to help small businesses (1–100 employees) manage costs when team members take leave.
