From the Greenery to City of San Diego Residents
The organic waste is collected from City of San Diego green bins and brought to the Miramar Greenery (located at the Miramar Landfill) where it is turned into compost and mulch. Compost is free for City of San Diego residents to pick up.
Compost is a soil amendment that improves soil texture and increases nutrient and water holding capacity. Mixing compost in with the soil boosts yard and garden health.
