Check Presentation by Senator Catherine Blakespear Event to Highlight Navigation Center Partnerships and Successes

Vista, CA — The City of Vista will host a check presentation event on Monday, Oct. 5, at 10 a.m., recognizing $2 million in state funding secured by Senator Catherine Blakespear to support the continued operation of the Buena Creek Navigation Center for an additional year.
The event will bring together state and local leaders, community partners, and service providers to recognize the partnership supporting the Navigation Center and highlight the positive outcomes and success stories made possible through its services.
WHAT: Buena Creek Navigation Center — $2 Million Grant Presentation
The program will include remarks from participating officials and community partners, a ceremonial check presentation, and an opportunity to learn more about the Navigation Center’s work and impact.

- Senator Catherine Blakespear and representatives from her office

- Retread, operator of the Buena Creek Navigation Center
- Navigation Center partner organizations and service providers
- Community partners
- An invited Navigation Center participant sharing their experience, subject to appropriate privacy and consent protocols
he Buena Creek Navigation Center serves individuals experiencing homelessness, and protecting client privacy and confidentiality is a priority. The event is invitation-only and is not open to the general public.
Light refreshments will be available following the formal program.
