Mayoral Candidates Arsenault, Blackburn, Nixon and Banister and Treasurer Contenders Peacox and Krouse to Join Sept. 28 Event
Carlsbad, CA. – September 2026 – Candidates running in the Carlsbad Mayoral race and the City Treasurer race in the November 3, 2026, general election are scheduled to take part in a Candidate Forum sponsored by the League of Women Voters of North County San Diego (LWVNCSD). The live event will take place Monday, Sept. 28, 2026 from 5:00 to 6:30 in the Schulman Auditorium at the Carlsbad Library, 1775 Dove Lane, Carlsbad, CA, 92011.
All of the candidates for Mayor: Bill Arsenault, Keith Blackburn, Eric Nixon and Stephen Banister and the two candidates for City Treasurer: Christian Peacox and Thomas E. Krouse have confirmed their attendance.
Conducted by the LWVNCSD, these candidate forums are strictly non-partisan and are structured with trained facilitators to provide a fair and impartial platform for the public to hear directly from candidates about their qualifications, priorities, and plans. Candidates will have equal time for opening and closing statements and to respond to questions submitted in writing by the public.
