Vista, CA – “Watercolors,” an exhibition of paintings by Vista artist Charles Henry Rouse, will be on display through March 3 at the Civic Gallery located within the Vista Civic Center. Admission is free and the gallery is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 am – 5:30 pm and every other Friday from 7:30 am – 4:30 pm. An artist’s reception will be held February 23 at 3:30 pm and the public is invited. About Charles Rouse Artist Charles Henry Rouse has been painting watercolors for more than 40 years. In his early career as a self-employed commercial designer, he became intrigued with watercolor. He recently retired as a college art instructor and is enjoying a third career as a professional water colorist. Rouse’s works have been shown in numerous national shows and has won numerous awards for his paintings. He is a member of the San Diego Watercolor Society, the American Watercolor Society, the National Watercolor Society and many others.
