David A. Willauer-Contributing Writer-The Dome at Palomar College-San Marcos, CA-The Palomar Lady Comets continue to do what they have always done on the San Marcos campus is to play basketball and what an outstanding season they are having as they are currently ride a 10 game winning streak and carry an amazing 28-1 record on the season as they defeated Cerritos Falcons by an 84-58 score.

Leigh Marshall Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Palomar:  “We weren’t as sharp as we were in the first half as we turned the ball over along with rushing a lot of shots today again Cerritos’s zone which is our strength right now, we needed to work on getting the ball inside and outside like we should be and our defense wasn’t as strong.”  “Cerritos did a good job on game planning in getting the ball up the middle along with some 2 on 1 opportunities against us but we need to sharpen up a lot, when we led 48-30 our turnovers really effected our squad as were a deep team and play 12 deep out bench is loaded with a lot of freshman this is the first time for them to get the playoff experience and to see what it is all about “
“Kendall Crosby out of Rancho Buena Vista led the state in scoring last year and 43% on the season, she has struggled a lot on her shooting once we got the ball inside/outside she was able to get some good rhythm shots and they went right in tonight this was one of her better games for Palomar last year she hit at Rancho Buena Vista (Crosby) 8 or 9 three’s a game now the other kids at Palomar know who she is and what she does she has the most confidence as well she had a chip on her shoulder but does a good job”

Sophia Neubauer led the Lady Comets with 20 points, Monica Todd out of Mission Hills High School was second with 19 points.  Vinessa Perryman out of Valley Center High School contributed with 15 points and freshman Kendall Crosby out of Rancho Buena Vista High School chipped in with 14 points.
For Cerritos College as they end their season at 19-14 Serena Rendon led with 25 points.
Palomar will host Moorpark College next Saturday, March 3rd at 7:00 pm
