” I felt that we played well as a team and our pitching along with our defense was solid throughout the ballgame along with scoring the runs, we needed to play hard and to never give up.” said Alex Lopez.
“We played with a lot of opportunities as did Rancho Buena Vista, they are an outstanding club. They will put the ball in play along with having good hitters, they did their responsibilities.” “On the game winning hit to left field the pitch was a fastball on the inner half I was waiting for a fastball to hit the ball somewhere in the field.” said Alex Lopez
Harrison Brown was the winner for the Fallbrook Warriors while Jarod Lesley is the loser for the Rancho Buena Vista Longhorns.
Martyn Camacho, Head Baseball Coach of Fallbrook High School: “Rancho Buena Vista hit the ball along with timely hits, we had a couple of their ballplayers on base something that you want to prevent at all possible. They did a good job at executing.” “Josue Navarro did a great job behind the plate and has a great arm, his release of the ball and was quicker along with his 2 run homer to put us up 3-2. In a judgement call, the ball hit the inside upper portion of the foul pole and the umpire called it a homer.”
“Alex Lopez did a good job clamping down on the bat for the team in a situation where everyone was pumped up and creating energy and was clutch for us.” “Harrison Brown has gotten stronger for us in each outing finding his location of working in and out. We are now starting to play as a team along with competing and that is what we want.” Coach Camacho said.
