The 4th production for the 2016 Moonlight schedule has been added and it will be the San Diego regional premiere of the five-time tony award-winning production of “Titanic”. This musical is set to run August 16, 2016, through Sept. 3, 2016. Due to the size and scope of this musical many theatres shy away from attempting this production.

Steve Glaudini, producing artistic director of Moonlight Stage Productions stated, “I feel the real reason to produce this majestic piece is that it doesn’t rely on a fictional story, but of the true history of these First, Second, Third class passengers and the Crew of the Titanic through the stunning music of Maury Yeston and the beautiful book by the master script writer Peter Stone. With our new theatre we can give this rarely produced work full justice.”

The other musicals set for the 2016 season include “Sister Act”, June 15-July 2; “Peter Pan”, July 20-August 6; and “The Addams Family – A New Musical Comedy”, Sept. 14-Oct. 1. Subscription and single ticket information will be announced later this year. Tickets will go on sale January 2016.
