Jim Fisher joined the Oregon staff as an offensive graduate assistant in the spring of 2008, before transitioning into a role coordinating the Ducks’ recruiting efforts the following year through the 2016 season.
Prior to his arrival at Oregon, Fisher spent three years at Division II Ashland University, the last of which serving as recruiting coordinator and an assistant coach for tight ends, running backs and receivers. He was a graduate assistant coach for two seasons, acting as video coordinator and tight ends coach while earning his Master of Education in Administration in 2007.
A three-time letter winner as a tight end and special teams player at the University of Michigan, Fisher was part of Big Ten championship teams in 2000, 2003 and 2004. He participated in five New Year’s Day bowl games, including two Rose Bowls, and was a two-time academic all-Big Ten award recipient. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education from the Ann Arbor institution in 2005.
Fisher and his wife, Kristi, have three children: Jacob, Kaci and Karli.
